The Twin City Sewer collection and treatment facility, run by Festus and Crystal City, will be owned, and operated by the Jefferson County Public Sewer District (JCPSD) beginning February 15th.
This innovative and new partnership will provide stable sewer rates and better service for years to come. Working with JCPSD we are doing everything we can to make this change seamless – rest assured, your service will be uninterrupted.
The agreement guarantees that sewer rates, recently recommended by an independent consultant, will remain in place – in fact the base rates and user rates for 2024 and 2025 will be less than your current rates. Additionally, residents are relieved of the financial and operational burdens associated with ever-changing environmental regulations. The Jefferson County Public Sewer District, with its specialized knowledge and resources, is well-equipped to navigate these complexities and ensure compliance.
Moving forward JCPSD will handle all operational and maintenance responsibilities, from your sewer mains to the wastewater treatment facility, creating one convenient point of contact for all your sanitary sewer needs – from routine maintenance to service calls and billing.
