Turtle Cove at Lucas Field

Enjoy this first look at the new splashpad and all-inclusive playground that will be Turtle Cove at Lucas Field.   

Parents and caregivers, we heard you!  You don't see it in the video, but there will be fencing that surrounds the entire play area.  We know some kids are "runners" and we want the adults accompanying those children to be able to relax and have fun also.  Benches and shade structures are visible in the splashpad area, but not in the playground area.  We've got that covered!  There are  4 additional benches with shade structures going in the playground area whose positions will be determined during construction.  

This picture shows where Turtle Cove will be located at the Complex.  The area will undergo a complete transformation with the removal of the dugouts, scoreboard, and anything that makes it look like a ballfield.  When it's time, concrete walkways, landscaping, and drinking fountains/bottle filling stations will be added.  There is ample paved parking and nearby bathrooms (that will be updated before Memorial Day).  This location will make the two play areas easily found by visitors and provide good visibility for the police department.
